Spent our Christmas holiday in a Japanese hotel with private hot spring water that was simply amazing. The location of the hotel was great, as it was surrounded by beautiful mountains and natural hot spring waters. Staff were friendly and provided satisfactory service. The meals offered were good, especially the sushi and sashimi which were fresh and delicious.
The rooms were quite old and outdated with a lack of amenities. The bathroom was not cleaned properly and had a bad odor.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Best aspects include friendly staff who picked up our luggage from the train station even before check-in time and changed the dinner menu to suit our dietary needs. The open-air private onsen was a bit pricey, but well worth it. The hotel's cleanliness and facilities were impressive.

The private onsen was very nice, a bit expensive though. The staff was friendly, and they provided great service, picking up our luggage from the train station before check-in. The Japanese dinner was superb and had a lot of variety.
We booked well in advance and were hoping for a Japanese-style futon bed room, but we got a western twin bed room instead, which was a bit of a letdown. Our table was placed near the entrance, so it felt like we were in a busy area with people coming and going.

Upon arriving by train, the hotel staff kindly collected our luggage allowing us to travel hands-free before check-in. The dinner course provided an impressive variety of Japanese cuisine, accommodating for dietary needs. The open air onsen provided a relaxing experience but at a steep cost.
The room and ensuite bathroom were outdated and showed signs of wear and tear.
